Firefly Mustique

The Firefly is the only inn on the private island of Mustique. Once a villa, it was transformed into a unique 5-bedroom hotel a few years ago. This combination of a cliff house and tree house perches on the side of a steep hill and cascades down to two gorgeous pools, waterfalls, and sun decks surrounded by tropical gardens. The rooms are tucked in and around the multi-level terraces and some are spacious suites with unbelievable ocean views of vast Britannia Bay.

The bar and restaurant are a hub of activity and usually full of guests, visiting celebrities and musicians, all enjoying the breathtaking vistas along with food and drink. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner which offers superb Continental selections.

The fantasy bedrooms each have a unique floor-plan, furnishings, and features. One includes a spa on a private sun deck and a sea rock shower; another has been described as a room with views instead of walls. Accommodations also have a queen or king bed, quality linens, unbleached cotton towels, a hair dryer, bath robes, ceiling or wall fans, mini bar, and room service.

Mustique's tiny village and one of the many white sand beaches are a short walk down the steep hill. Horseback riding and tennis courts are available. Guests can also explore the 1400 acre private island by foot or with a small 4-wheel motorized vehicle supplied by the hotel.
